Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. The next IFSTAL lecture on the 3rd December sees Drs Rosemary Collier and Kelly Reed, Warwick University, exploring food system outcomes, i.e. the emergent consequences of producing and consuming food. The lecture will address issues of food security/insecurity, health and welfare outcomes, the environmental impacts of food system activities, the cultural world around food, profit, employment and livelihoods coming from food. Outcomes are linked in various ways, and working to alter one outcome will have knock-on implications for others.
