Join us as we consider the ongoing legacy of colonialism and impact of racism on communities who now face climate catastrophe. Our speakers will share their experiences of working with communities around the world who struggle with the cumulative impact of these colossal challenges. As we consider the influence of the past we also look to the future, hearing how collaboration and inclusion can bring positive progress.
Moderating the discussion will be Marvin Rees, former Mayor of Bristol who works around the globe to help cities address and adapt to the adverse consequences of climate change. Joining him we are delighted to welcome Wawa Gatheru, Paul Gardullo, Dorah Mamera and Tori Harwell. You can read more about our speakers, and co-host Michelle Gayle of The World Reimagined, at the ‘Speakers’ tab above.Doors open at 17:30, with an opportunity to explore the art exhibitions at Rhodes House before the event starts at 18:00. You are warmly invited to continue the conversation and talk with our speakers over drinks and canapés after the panel discussion.
This event is organised in partnership by The World Reimagined and The Rhodes Trust.
