In this conversation with Smita Sharma we will explore how we can establish a more equitable relationship with the people we photograph, respecting their dignity and honouring their agency. Smita Sharma is an award winning photojournalist and visual storyteller whose work focuses on underreported issues related to human rights, gender, crime and social issues. She is a National Geographic photographer and a contributor to various publications such as The New York Times, BBC World, TIME, Channel 4, Washington Post and Human Rights Watch amongst many others.
