Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Sarah Haywood is the managing director for Advanced Oxford, a not-for-profit membership group which brings together companies, institutions and organisations which all have a focus on innovation and knowledge-related business, in Oxfordshire. Sarah has had various senior roles in the NHS, MedCity and BEIS over the past 20 years, all while working flexibly. She also ran the team within BEIS that designed and legislated the shared parental leave system and the right to request flexible working systems.
Sarah will share her story and offer suggestions based on her experiences for working flexibly. Come with questions and ideas to share with the group.

IDEA Women is a new initiative from the University of Oxford, aimed at empowering, inspiring, connecting and upskilling more women leaders, business founders and pioneers. It is the first in a suite of IDEA initiatives designed to tackle some of the key challenges and inequalities faced by groups who are currently vastly underrepresented in enterprise and industry across the world. IDEA stands for Increasing Diversity in Enterprising Activities.
