OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Interested in flexible working, but worried about career progression? Join the IDEA community for how it could work for you
Join the IDEA community to discuss flexible working and how one woman has been successful in having the right work life balance.
Sarah Haywood is the managing director for Advanced Oxford, a not-for-profit membership group which brings together companies, institutions and organisations which all have a focus on innovation and knowledge-related business, in Oxfordshire. Sarah has had various senior roles in the NHS, MedCity and BEIS over the past 20 years, all while working flexibly. She also ran the team within BEIS that designed and legislated the shared parental leave system and the right to request flexible working systems.
Sarah will share her story and offer suggestions based on her experiences for working flexibly. Come with questions and ideas to share with the group.
This event will last 1 hour, with an additional 20mins for open discussion at the end.
