On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

In support of World Menopause Month this October, join us for this awareness-raising workshop about menopause and how it affects colleagues, students and others in our lives. This will be held online, on Wednesday 12 October (12:30 – 13:30).
Talking about menopause is still a taboo in the workplace, and its potential impacts are still not widely understood. But being able to spot the signs early, and know how and where to seek support, leads to better outcomes for the person directly impacted. The session will get us thinking about how we can be better managers and colleagues, developing our empathy and learning about menopause support. The workshop will cover:
* Menopause in the workplace * Variances, types, triggers, stages of menopause, diagnosis and how to spot the signs * Symptom management and prevention * Menopause allyship * Support and resources * Q&A
The session will be facilitated by Lesley Salem, founder of Over The Bloody Moon; a certified menopause health coach, podcast hostess of “The Change Makers” and regular commentator in the press. Over The Bloody Moon supports individuals and organisations, by removing the muddle of menopause.
