Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. A clear delivery plan is essential for the UK to meet its sector deal target of installing 50GW of offshore wind by 2030, with some industry projections of up to 110 GW by 2050. With almost three-quarters of the UK’s current offshore wind capacity on the east coast of Great Britain, Regen’s ‘Go West!’ study explores and identifies the benefits that pursuing a more east-west balanced offshore wind fleet could bring to both the UK energy system and energy consumers. The study was conducted in partnership with four leading offshore wind developers – Magnora Offshore Wind, Morwind, Northland Power and Simply Blue Group – with Regen retaining editorial independence over recommendations and conclusions.
