On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

COURSE DETAILS
The session will introduce approaches to podcasting, present inspiration from a range of different podcast styles, and take you step-by-step through the basic technical skills of recording, editing and publishing audio files.
You’ll have the chance to develop an idea and have a go recording it with support and feedback during the day.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this course students will have an:
Understanding of what podcasting is and its benefits in relation to communicating science to wider society.
Ability to identify, develop and create narratives for the purposes of podcasting.
Understanding of the skills required to record and edit audio, including making use of music and sound effects.
Increased awareness of platforms for publishing podcast material.
