OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

As the discussion will show, forests and timber merged two intertwining threads. As an international forum for industrial cooperation, the League was focused on supporting and ensuring efficient global production of a variety of raw materials. Due to different circumstances, timber received a special attention on behalf of different players involved. Moreover, the interwar story of timer reflected the ways in which urgent environmental calls to stop deforestation also became part of the international discussion on raw materials, timber, and trees.
