Oxford History of Science turns 50

The Oxford Centre for the History of Science, Medicine, and Technology with support from the Faculty of History, Linacre College, Harris Manchester College, the History of Science Museum, and the Maison Française d’Oxford, will hold a two-day in-person event in Oxford in September, to mark 50 years since the establishment of the University’s Statutory Chair in the History of Science.

The event will run from lunchtime on Monday 25 September 2023 until the afternoon of Tuesday 26 September and will feature a varied program that includes opportunities for the history of science community to celebrate the past, and to look forward to what the future holds for the history of science at Oxford and beyond.
